This Changes Everything

The aggregation of most of the worlds problems

is a model that Naomi Klein put forward.

The climate crisis is a byproduct of an over-aggressive industrialization. Over-aggressive because it has not been adequately regulated, and because some of it's side effects weren't fully understood until recently. This industrialization has co-opted our governments and given them a priority to facilitate very big business. We have been through phases of this over history. The current phase is aimed at legitimizing the growing extreme inequality coming from an unregulated free market.

It is the big industrialists that are making money hand over fist by keeping energy as a controlled, centralized monopoly. They have chosen to value the current fossil-fuel-based money generation above the viability of the planet. Thus, they have purposely generated dis-information to frustrate attempts to address this world-environment-critical need to shift from the old fuels to ones that will sustain the ecosystem.

“This Changes Everything” By Naomi Klein is in stores as of September 16 and is available for order. For more information, tour dates, or to buy the book: thischangeseverything.org/

“Forget everything you think you know about global warming. The really inconvenient truth is that it’s not [just] about carbon—it’s about capitalism. The convenient truth is that we can seize this existential crisis to transform our failed economic system and build something radically better.

In her most provocative book yet, Naomi Klein tackles the most profound threat humanity has ever faced: the war our economic model is waging against life on earth. ”

The book is also available as an audio book, and we [Ed and Debbie Averill] got our copy from Audible.com. We like to listen to books like this on car trips. However, as much as I like listening, I need a paper copy of this book to refer back to.
